for
Lost and Found Animals...
- Lost and Found Register - list the animal on our lost and
found database by phone or by
emailing
Waikato SPCA
with details and photo of animal, also PLEASE let us know if your animal
has been found.
- The SPCA has a LOST AND FOUND notice board...bring
in a photo and description of the pet.
- Come in and view the animals that we have here at least once a week
until found.
- Check our web page -

and keep checking it as it is updated regularly.
- Advertise in the 'The Waikato Times' and get a free advert
in 'Hamilton Press'.
- Make a flyer with the animal details (eg. colour, age, unusual
markings or habits) and do a letter - box drop. Also place flyer at
supermarkets, dairies, vets etc. Alternately you can download a
cat flyer,
dog flyer or
other pet flyer to print and fill out.
- Ask neighbours to look in garages,
sheds, under bushes and houses, these are very common places where cats are found. Go more than 3 houses
away from your place. Ask local schools, businesses, churches, shops etc to
look out for your pet.
- Try

- Ring your local radio station, ask them to put a notice on air.
- Call Roads and Traffic - Ph. 07 838 6868. They often pick up
animals that have been hit by cars and are deceased.
- Try ringing taxi services and ask them to keep an eye out for your dog.
